This is one of the many small portraits I will be painting. It is part of a series in which I call "Radical Thinkers" who inspire me to be the artist I am.

Interesting that you included Jesus, and Darwin. Makes me think of the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's album cover. John wanted Hitler, and Jesus included in the crowd of people. But they were cut in the final image. Another :+fav:

There is no way to measure an artist, or their work, because nothing matters, but their vision. Their acceptance by the rest of the world is merely external.
I had added Jesus not from a religious stand point but for the great pontificator and listener he was.
This Radical Thinkers list is based upon each individual efforts, philosophies, and quotes that have inspired me as an artist and as a human being.
Although, Charles Darwin derived the evidence of survival of the fittest and natural selection he returned to Christianity towards the end of his life.

Truthfully, I've never seen a big conflict with Christianity and evolution. It's true that 7 days is too short of a time for evolution to occur, but it also says in the bible that a thousand years is as a day to God. What I get from that, is that time is meaningless to God. Most people take the bible as figuratively, or as literal as they want, so why not this point. Seven days could have been millions of years. Both in creation, and evolution, man came alone in the last stages. I'm not a Christian myself, but if I were, that would be the foundation on which I'd base my belief. Anyway, I'm with you on including Jesus in your radical thinkers series. Good choice.

Yep! I believe that too many people who interpret the bible take it's message very literal.

Anyways, anyone who can take an method and form it into a religion and have people follow it to this day is an incredible person.

Next on the list definitely has to be the Prophet Muhammed.
